Propagation of supplements in sport should be stopped: Dr.Lotfali Pourkazemi, the president of SMFI

Based on the report by public relations Dept of SMFI: memorandum of understandings was inked between SMFI & IRNA, I. R. of Iran's news agency in 8 articles &5 clauses by Dr.Lotfali Pourkazemi, the president of SMFI &Mr.Sepehr Khalili,the vice-president of Irna news agency .

According to this memorandum of understanding, SMFI will cooperate with I.R.Irna news agency for producing, broadcasting news in the field of sport medicine events.

Different subjects, like prevention of sport injuries-sport psychology-sport nutrition-health in sport and the role of sport supplements and anti-doping, have been put in this memorandum of understanding in order to protect and increase society health.

During the meeting, Dr.Pourkazemi, the president of SMFI announced: "if we want to have the young generation of society to be healthy and not to struggle with complications of doping, we should prevent using supplements in public sport "and he added, "the list of permissible supplements have been offered for the heroes in different sport majors moreover many of these impermissible supplements have harmonic and microbic elements which endanger the health of athletes.

According to this agreement ,SMFI was obligated the necessary measures to have Irna news agency use necessary resources, news and information in order to produce news in the fields of sport medicine and anti-doping.
